YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Wind chill readings will fall to near zero during the early morning hours.  Near critical fire weather conditions associated with southwesterly winds gusting 20-35 mph and relative humidity readings as low as 15 to 20 percent, are anticipated across portions of the Tri-State area Sunday afternoon, mainly along and south of Interstate 70 in Northwest Kansas and over portions of East-Central Colorado. A brief period of critical fire weather conditions is possible; however, confidence is low to medium.   .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...  We are monitoring the potential for multiple hazards on Wednesday afternoon, including blowing dust and near critical fire weather conditions, for areas southwest of a line from Joes, Colorado to Oakley, Kansas.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be required.
