Yuma County Hazardous Weather Outlook

This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska…
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT…

A Red Flag Warning is in effect along and west of KS Highway 27 this
afternoon. Breezy south to southwest winds will persist across the
Tri-State area today. Sustained winds ranging from 20 to 30 mph and
gusts up to 45 mph are expected.

A low probability of severe weather will be present this evening
mainly along and north of US Hwy 36 and after 7 PM CDT. While
showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop tonight, there is
very low confidence that severe weather will occur. However, if a
strong to severe thunderstorm develops then the main hazard would be
damaging wind gusts.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY…

Frost cannot be ruled out across portions of northeast Colorado and
southwest Nebraska on Thursday morning.
