Yuma County Hazardous Weather Outlook

This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska…
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE…TONIGHT…

After midnight, fog is expected to develop roughly along and east of
a Russell Springs to Halford to McCook line. Some locations could
have visibilities drop to a half mile or less.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…FRIDAY THROUGH THURSDAY…

Fog will end by mid morning on Friday.

Strong southerly winds are expected across the Tri-State area on
Sunday. Sustained winds as high as 30 to 40 mph and gusts as high as
55 mph will be possible. Blowing dust could become an issue across
the region.

Strong south to southwest winds and an increasingly dry air mass may
result in critical fire weather conditions Sunday afternoon,
particularly in eastern Colorado.

The passage of a frontal boundary Tuesday into Wednesday of next
week will bring about potential frost or freeze concerns as
temperatures will drop into the 30s for northwest areas. Please stay
tuned.
