YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY...  Light snow is diminishing across the region this afternoon. Little to no accumulation is anticipated, but there could be a few slick spots on area roadways, particularly where heavier snow fell this morning.  Cold arctic air settles over the region tonight. Overnight low temperatures are expected to fall into the single digits above zero across the area. Wind chill temperatures will range from near zero to near ten degrees below zero by Friday morning.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...  Wind chill temperatures will range from near zero to near ten degrees below zero until the mid-morning hours Friday.  Another cold night is anticipated Friday night into Saturday morning. Wind chill temperatures will fall to near and below zero degrees.  Elevated fire weather conditions are possible over portions of the region during the afternoon hours on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed, but any reports of snowfall to the National Weather Service in Goodland, Kansas would be greatly appreciated.
