YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Wind chill readings are expected to range in the single digits to middle teens above zero this morning.  Light snow is expected to impact the region today into this evening. The area of focus for today will be areas along and north of the Interstate, but transition into northeast Colorado by this evening. Snow totals will remain an inch or less.  Cold arctic air settles over the region tonight, with overnight lows in the single numbers above zero. Wind chill readings will range in the single numbers to lower teens below zero tonight into Friday morning.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  Going into Friday morning, expecting wind chill readings to remain in the single numbers to lower teens below zero.  Friday night will have overnight lows dropping into single numbers and teens above zero, with wind chill readings in the single numbers below zero. Saturday night will have wind chill readings in the single numbers above zero.  Elevated fire weather conditions are possible over portions of the region during the afternoon hours on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed, but any snowfall reports will be greatly appreciated.
