YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  No hazardous weather is expected at this time.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...  Near Critical to Critical fire weather conditions are expected along and west of Kansas Highway 27 Wednesday afternoon. A Fire Weather Watch is in effect for all of far eastern Colorado from noon MDT through 6 PM MDT.  Elevated fire weather conditions will continue for the majority of the area each afternoon from Thursday through Saturday.  On Sunday, a potentially significant weather day is on tap as southwest winds gust up to 45 mph, possibly higher. The strong winds and low relative humidity will create Near Critical to Critical fire weather conditions across the entire Tri-State area. Additionally, there is a threat for blowing dust that would create reduced visibilities and poor air quality.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not expected today or tonight.
