YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY...  A Red Flag Warning is in effect through early this evening for counties along and north of I-70. Dry conditions and west winds gusting up to 25 mph will lead to critical fire weather conditions.  This evening, a cold front will sweep through the area between 6 PM MDT and 9 PM MDT. North winds gusting 40 to 50 mph will occur for an hour or two behind the front. Areas of blowing dust and reduced visibility will also be possible.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...  Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions are possible on Wednesday and Thursday as breezy to gusty winds look to continue.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be required.
