YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  A Red Flag Warning will be in effect this morning through the early evening for counties mainly along and north of I-70. Dry conditions and west winds gusting up to 35 mph will lead to critical fire weather conditions. A cold front is expected to move through during the late afternoon/early evening, rapidly changing winds to out of the north. The entire area should use caution with fires and sparks as fires could quickly become dangerous.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...  Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions are possible on Wednesday and Thursday as breezy to gusty winds look to continue.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not expected, however please report any fires to local dispatch.
