YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Isolated thunderstorms are anticipated Friday afternoon and evening, generally east of Highway 25. Sudden and potentially damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph, large hail up to quarter size and dangerous cloud to ground lightning are the primary hazards.  A Heat Advisory is in effect from 3pm through 8pm CDT today for counties along and east of Highway 83. If outside make sure to take frequent breaks in the shade and drink lots of water.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...  A Heat Advisory is in effect for portions of the area during the afternoon and early evening hours on Saturday.  Thunderstorms are expected each evening from Saturday through Monday.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not currently expected today or tonight.
