YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Hot weather will persist today for the entire region with high temperatures ranging from 101 to 108.  A Heat Advisory is in effect from noon until 800 pm CDT for southwest Nebraska, as well as the following counties in Kansas: Graham, Norton, Rawlins, Decatur and Sheridan. Heat index values around 105 degrees are expected.  Lower humidity in the remaining counties will keep indices below criteria.  Near critical fire weather conditions are also possible.  There will be chances for thunderstorms for much of the region later this afternoon and evening.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  Hot weather will continue across the region Friday into next week. Temperatures in excess of 100 degrees will be widespread, with Saturday being the coolest in the 90s.  A Heat Advisory is in effect from 100 pm until 800 pm CDT for the following counties: Red Willow south to Gove, as well as Graham and Norton. Heat index values around 105 to 106 degrees are expected.  Near critical fire weather conditions are also possible each day.  Chances for thunderstorms are also possible Friday and Saturday as well as into the beginning of next week for a good portion of the region.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
