This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.
.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight
Scattered thunderstorms will develop over the mountains this
afternoon and continue through the evening hours, with storms more
numerous south of the Interstate 70 corridor. These storms will
produce dangerous cloud to ground lightning, small hail, and brief
heavy rain. An isolated storm or two will also drift onto the
nearby plains and ridges including the Palmer Divide.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Sunday through Friday
As subtropical moisture remains over the state through the next
week, scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms
are expected each afternoon and evening. Heavy rainfall will be
the main threat from the thunderstorms, since the airmass will be
so warm and moist.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…
Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
