WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 ...Red flag warning this afternoon for high mountain parks, northern foothills and portions of the plains...  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Warm and very dry conditions will prevail again today. Elevated to critical fire weather conditions are expected over much of the area this afternoon with low humidities and gusty winds. Winds will diminish over the plains this evening but gusty winds will continue in the mountains over night with speeds up to 60 mph.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday  Warm, dry, and breezy weather on Saturday may result in critical fire weather conditions during the afternoon across the eastern plains.  A strong low pressure system will move across our forecast area on Sunday. This will create gusty winds up to 50 mph across the eastern plains which may lead to blowing dust. Critical fire weather conditions are possible again due to the mild, dry, and windy conditions.  The mountains will see moderate snow amounts Saturday night through Monday with slick travel conditions expected. Light precipitation is possible across the I-25 corridor and eastern plains Sunday evening and into Monday with a mix of rain and snow showers.  The next system arrives on Thursday bringing mountain snowfall and possibly mixed precipitation to the plains.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
