This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.
.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight
Scattered thunderstorms will develop over the mountains to the
southwest of Denver. These storms will produce dangerous cloud to
ground lightning, small hail, and brief heavy rain. An isolated
storm or two will also drift onto the nearby plains and ridges
including the Palmer Divide.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Sunday through Friday
Scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms are
expected over the mountains, foothills and adjacent plains from
Sunday through the upcoming week. The remainder of the plains can
expect a slight chance of evening thunderstorms. Sub-tropical
moisture will be present over the state through the week.
Consequently, each afternoon and evening will have the chance of
thunderstorms. Heavy rainfall will be the main threat from the
thunderstorms, since the airmass will be so warm and moist.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…
Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
