Washington County Hazardous Weather Outlook

This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE…This Afternoon and Tonight

Scattered thunderstorms will develop over the mountains this
afternoon, mainly along and south of Interstate 70. There will be
a chance of storms moving onto the plains in the late afternoon
and evening, generally south of Interstate 76. The stronger storms
today may produce wind gusts to 40 mph, brief heavy rain, and
small hail.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Sunday through Friday

A weather system will move across Colorado on Sunday bringing a
good chance of showers and thunderstorms. A few storms
may be severe over northeast Colorado in the afternoon and evening
hours.

Drier air will spread in for Monday through Tuesday but
sufficient moisture will be present for a slight chance of
thunderstorms on Tuesday. Another fast moving disturbance may
bringing an increase in thunderstorm coverage for Wednesday across
the mountains and plains.

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
