Washington County Hazardous Weather Outlook

This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE…This Afternoon and Tonight

Scattered to likely showers and thunderstorms can be expected
over the mountains and foothills from mid afternoon into this
evening. Over the western plains/Urban Corridor, isolated showers
and thunderstorms are expected late this afternoon and evening.
The eastern plains can expect isolated showers overnight. Brief
moderate to heavy rain showers along with wind gusts to 40 mph can
be expected with the storms. Temperatures will be near record
highs this afternoon for some areas of the plains.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Friday through Wednesday

Thunderstorm coverage is expected to increase a little Friday and
Saturday, and then more numerous showers and storms may occur
Sunday afternoon and evening. Stronger storms on Friday and
Saturday may produce brief heavy rain, with one or two severe
storms with large hail possible over the plains by late Saturday
afternoon and evening. Sunday afternoon and evening may feature a
couple severe storms across the plains as well, with large hail
and damaging winds a threat.

Generally drier weather with less thunderstorm coverage is
expected Monday through Wednesday of next week.

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
