This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Hot temperatures can be expected today, with highs across most of the plains and I-25 Corridor soaring to near or just above 100 F. Stay hydrated, wear light colored and loose fitting clothing, avoid strenuous outdoor activity, and seek shade if possible. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will develop in the afternoon, producing light rain and gusty outflow winds to around 45 mph. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday Saturday will be another hot day, although a cool front arriving late in the day should offer up slight cooling and scattered thunderstorms. There will be at least a limited threat of flash flooding in recent burn areas from isolated stronger storms. Cooler temperatures and a higher coverage of showers and storms can be expected Sunday. Highs may not reach 90F for a change across the plains. Some of the thunderstorms in the mountains and near the Palmer Divide will likely produce locally heavy rainfall.
