WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 ...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TO 9 PM MDT ACROSS THE NORTHEAST PLAINS...  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Record heat expected today across the plains with temperatures from the upper 90s to 105. There will also be elevated fire danger on the plains with low humidities and breezing conditions. Increasing moisture will result in a return to scattered showers and thunderstorms across the mountains with only isolated coverage of storms across the plains. Main impact will be gusty winds up to 45 mph with the showers. There will be a limited threat of flash flooding over the fire burn scars.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday  There will be a daily chance of isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly over the higher terrain with lesser chances over the plains. The stronger storms could produce strong winds up to 55 mph. There will be a limited threat of burn area flash flooding each day although that chance may increase next weekend with increasing monsoonal moisture. The heat will continue with Friday and Saturday likely being the hottest day. Highs could reach 100 degrees or above on the plains each of those days.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
