This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight It will be hot across the Front Range Urban Corridor and eastern plains today with highs ranging from 96 to 104 degrees. Scattered thunderstorms will develop early this afternoon over the mountains and foothills and then spread eastward through the afternoon and evening. Brief heavy rain and wind gusts to 50 mph will be the main threats with the thunderstorms. This will result in a flash flood threat for the burn areas. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday There will be numerous showers and thunderstorms across the area Friday afternoon and evening, some of which will produce locally heavy rainfall. As a result, there is an elevated risk of flash flooding in and near the recent burn areas. While the entire period looks warm with above normal temperatures, Sunday and Monday will be the hottest days with highs near or above 100 degrees across the plains.
