WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  It will be hot across the Front Range Urban Corridor and eastern plains today with highs ranging from 96 to 104 degrees. Scattered thunderstorms will develop early this afternoon over the mountains and foothills and then spread eastward through the afternoon and evening. Brief heavy rain and wind gusts to 50 mph will be the main threats with the thunderstorms. This will result in a limited flash flood threat for the burn areas.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday  There will be widespread storms on Friday that will produce heavy rainfall in spots. As a result, there is an elevated risk of flash flooding in and near the recent burn areas. While the entire period looks warm, Sunday and Monday will be the hottest days with highs near or over 100 degrees across the plains. The burn area flash flood risk will be lower this weekend but will increase again next work week.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
