This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Expect a good coverage of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, especially in the mountains and higher terrain areas over the Palmer Divide. With the stronger storms, expect brief heavy rain and gusty winds up to 55 mph. There is a limited threat of burn area flash flooding across the northern mountains. Some relief from the heat across the plains today with high temperatures dropping into the 80s and a few lower 90s.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday  Showers and thunderstorms are likely Friday and into this weekend across the high country. Heavy rain will be possible each day with a limited threat of burn area flash flooding. Highs on Friday will reach the mid 80s, with a gradual warming trend into next week.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
