This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.
.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight
Scattered thunderstorms are expected to form over the mountains
and foothills and then spread southeast across Urban Corridor and
eastern plains this afternoon and evening. A few of the storms may
approach severe criteria with wind gusts to 60 mph and one inch
hail.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Saturday through Thursday
Labor Day weekend will see warming temperatures and mainly dry
conditions. Highs will reach the low to mid 90s on Sunday over
lower elevations. The warmest day of the extended period will be
Labor Day as highs reach the mid and upper 90s across lower
elevations. The fire danger will be high on Labor Day, especially
over higher terrain.
A cold front is expected to move through on Tuesday, cooling down
temperatures and increasing the chances for rain on Tuesday.
Lingering moisture will allow for isolated storms Wednesday and
Thursday.
