Washington County Hazardous Weather Outlook

This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE…This Afternoon and Tonight

Periods of light snow will occur in the mountains today and
tonight. Amounts will be generally in the 1 to 3 inch range.
Gusty winds over the mountain passes will create areas of blowing
snow. Across the plains, gusty northwest winds will occur this
afternoon with speeds up to 35 mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Friday through Wednesday

Another round of light snow can be expected in the mountains
Friday night into early Saturday. Travelers should anticipate
slick road conditions including the I-70 Corridor through Summit
County. Outside of that, dry and mild weather will prevail this
weekend.

A storm system may affect the area Monday into Tuesday of next
week, bringing a chance of light rain and snow. However, the
latest data suggests the brunt of this storm’s energy will be well
to our east.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
