Washington County Hazardous Weather Outlook

This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight

Expect periodic snow showers in the mountains today and then
gradually decreasing later tonight with generally light snowfall.
Amounts will be in the 1 to 3 inch range today with locally higher
amounts up to 5 inches around Rabbit Ears Pass. Gusty winds over
the mountain passes will create areas of blowing snow. Across the
plains, gusty northwest winds will increase this afternoon with
speeds up to 40 mph. The winds will decrease tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Thursday through Tuesday

Light snow will continue in the mountains on Thursday with only a
few inches of accumulation. The plains will be dry. The entire
area will be dry from Friday through Sunday, except for a chance
of light snow in the mountains Friday night. A storm system may
affect the area late Monday into Tuesday of next week bringing a
chance of snow.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
