WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 ...FIRE WEATHER WATCH SUNDAY FOR SOUTH PARK, THE SOUTHERN FRONT RANGE FOOTHILLS, PALMER DIVIDE, AND DENVER METRO AREA...  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Much above normal temperatures can be expected today. For tonight, winds will start to increase in the Front Range Mountains and Foothills, with gusts up to 65 mph possible in wind prone areas by daybreak Sunday.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday  Elevated to locally critical fire weather conditions can be expected Sunday, with the combination of the driest and windiest conditions expected from South Park across the southern Front Range Foothills onto the Palmer Divide. There is less certainty about the gusty winds spreading across the Denver metro area. Temperatures will warm to near record levels.  Another round of snow will develop in the mountains by Monday, and continue into Tuesday. However, the plains will remain dry with modest cooling but still above normal temperatures. A cooler storm system will bring another round of snow to the mountains Thursday into Friday. This time, some of that light snow may be able to also spread into the I-25 Corridor and plains.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
