WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight  Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop over the entire forecast area this afternoon. The main threats from the storms will be lightning and wind gusts between 35-50 mph, though a few storms could also produce brief heavy rain and small hail. The chance for thunderstorms diminishes greatly after sunset across the I-25 corridor.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday  For this weekend into early next week, there will continue to be a chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms each day. Some storms this weekend could be strong to severe across the eastern plains with large hail and damaging wind gusts the primary threats.  Very hot temperatures are expected on Wednesday and Thursday.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
