Washington County Hazardous Weather Outlook

…DENSE FOG ADVISORY THROUGH 9 AM FOR THE NORTHERN PLAINS…

This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight

Low level moisture over the plains under a stable airmass will
allow areas of fog to linger through the morning, and possibly
into the early afternoon. This will be especially true along the
South Platte River Valley where visibilities will be down to a
quarter mile or less through mid morning. Where visibility is
reduced, motorists should use caution. The high mountains will
likely remain mostly cloudy in northwest flow aloft, with a few
flurries possible. Additional areas of fog will likely develop
over the plains tonight under another stable and mostly clear
night.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Saturday through Thursday

Areas of fog on the plains Saturday morning will give way to
mostly sunny skies and above normal temperatures.

Snow will develop in the mountains late Saturday night into
Sunday as the next weather system moves into the area. Several
inches of snow and hazardous winter travel conditions can be
expected Sunday through Monday. On the plains, there will be a
chance of snow showers, but only light if any accumulation would
be possible.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
