Washington County Hazardous Weather Outlook

This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight

For early this morning, expect isolated showers and thunderstorms
across the far northeast plains and further west across the
mountains and foothills. Expect only brief rain with the showers
through the early morning.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will then develop again over
the mountains and plains this afternoon before diminishing later
this evening. Expect heavy rainfall along with localized flooding
possible with rainfall rates up to 2 inches in an hour or less. A
few storms could also become severe on the plains with large
hail, damaging winds and heavy rain.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Sunday through Friday

Thunderstorms are likely Sunday afternoon and evening. Some of the
storms on the eastern plains are expected to be severe. The main
threats will be large hail and damaging winds, though locally
heavy rain and isolated tornadoes will also be possible.

Hot and drier weather is expected for the coming work week. There
will still be isolated thunderstorms which could produce localized
strong wind gusts.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…

Spotter activation may be needed across the northeast plains after
2 pm.
