...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR THE NORTHERN TIER OF MOUNTAINS UNTIL MIDNIGHT TONIGHT... This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Snow showers and areas of blowing snow will continue in the mountains through this evening, although most of the accumulating snow has shifted northward into the northern tier of mountains. This includes Rabbit Ears Pass, Rocky Mountain National Park, and points northward where another 2 to 5 inches of snow can be expected. Hazardous winter travel conditions can be expected in those locations with snow covered and slick roads. Only scattered and lighter snow showers can be anticipated in the I-70 mountain corridor and Summit County. Snow will decrease overnight. A few snow showers are also expected to drift into the lower elevations - mainly near the Wyoming border where only a dusting of snow will be possible late this afternoon and evening. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday Mountain snow showers are expected Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon with light accumulations. On Thursday and Friday, snowfall is expected across much of the forecast area. The Front Range mountains and foothills will see moderate snowfall amounts during this period. Across the plains, rain will change to snow late Thursday with light snow amounts expected. Areas on the north side of the Palmer Divide could see the heaviest amounts on the plains with travel impacts possible. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
