WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Areas of snow will bring slick travel conditions today. Additional snow accumulations of a dusting to 3 inches can be expected on the plains, with the heavier snow setting up from around Fort Collins and Longmont east/southeast across the plains. In the mountains, amounts will range from 1 to 4 inches with the heaviest snowfall likely in the Indian Peaks and Rocky Mountain National Park area.  Snow will end from northwest to southeast over the plains during the afternoon, while showers will gradually end in the high country later this evening.  Temperatures will be very cold, struggling to get into the lower 20s across the plains today, and then lows in the single digits tonight. Mountain valleys will likely drop below zero overnight.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday  A gradual warming trend will begin on Sunday, and this trend will continue through Wednesday of next week. The next chance of snow will return to the mountains on Thursday or Friday.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight. However, any reports of snowfall will be appreciated.
