This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight The next weather system will move into the Central Rockies today. This will bring a round of snow to the mountains. Heaviest snow will be over the northern mountains where 3 to 6 inches of snowfall are expected. Farther south towards the I-70 Corridor, snowfall will be lighter with up to 3 inches possible. For those traveling into the high country, some slush and snow can be expected at times over the higher mountain passes, but temperatures should remain mild enough for mostly wet road conditions overall. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday Friday will be dry and mild before snow arrives in the mountains late Saturday through Monday. The western slopes can expect a few inches of snow mainly Saturday night and Sunday night into the day on Monday. This may impact travel with snow and blowing snow creating low visibility and slick roads. The plains will see a chance of precipitation late Sunday into Monday but amounts look to be on the lighter side. The primary weather impact during this period will be strong winds that could gust up to 55 mph across the eastern plains. This could create blowing dust and perhaps travel impacts especially on I-70. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed.
