WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Showers and thunderstorms are likely over the mountains today with mainly scattered showers over the plains. There will be a threat for severe storms over the Palmer Divide region this afternoon for areas mainly south of Denver across Jefferson, Douglas and Elbert counties for hail and heavy rain. An isolated weak tornado is also possible. There will be a threat of flash flooding over the alpine burnt areas with high moisture levels, however storms will be moving at a good clip.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday  Scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms are expected Thursday for much of northeast Colorado. A few storms may become severe, with the primary threat being large hail. Afternoon thunderstorm chances will continue through at least Saturday.   .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation may be needed after 1 pm this afternoon, mainly over the Palmer Divide for reports of hail, heavy rain and flooding.
