Brief heavy rain and gusty winds to 40 mph will be possible with the majority of the storms. Expect a few stronger storms over the far northeast plains with heavy rain, small hail and wind gusts to 50 mph. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday Monday should be mainly dry. By July 4th, Tuesday, scattered to likely showers and thunderstorms are expected later in the afternoon and evening. Some storms could reach severe limits with large hail, damaging winds and a few tornadoes. Heavy rains could also cause flash flooding problems. For the rest of the week, scattered late day showers and thunderstorms are forecast.
