WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  It will be windy, dry, and warmer today. The mountains will have peak gusts of 40 to 60 mph this afternoon, while the plains will have gusts of 20 to 40 mph. It will also be the warmest day yet this year in many places. High mountain streams and the South Platte River east of Fort Morgan will continue to run high.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday  Elevated fire weather conditions will continue through Thursday over the north central mountains where winds will gust to 40 mph during the afternoons with relative humidities in the teens.  The chance for showers and thunderstorms return Wednesday evening and Wednesday night along the Front Range and eastern plains. A cooler and wetter pattern is then expected for Thursday and Friday. Some of the storms late Wednesday and Thursday could be severe. Because of the recent rainfall and swollen rivers, flooding could also become an issue.   .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
