WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon over the mountains, especially over the east slopes of the Front Range and over Summit and Park counties. A few storms will spread into the I-25 corridor and Palmer Divide area in the late afternoon and evening. Expect brief heavy rain and small hail with the stronger storms, especially in the mountains south of I-70. No storms are expected over the far northeast plains with a drier airmass in place.  It will remain smoky east of the mountains today with only gradual improvement.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday  Sunday will likely see the lowest afternoon and evening shower and thunderstorm coverage this upcoming week. Most of them will be confined to the mountains around Park and Summit Counties, and over the eastern plains roughly along/southeast of a line from Akron to Deer Trail to Kiowa. Just a slight uptick in storm chances will occur Monday. Air quality may remain poor into Sunday and Monday.  The weather pattern is expected to become more active toward the middle to latter part of next week. Both storm coverage and strength is expected to increase with an influx of moisture and instability. A few severe storms will be possible over the plains by Wednesday and Thursday, while recent burn areas may see an increased risk of flash flooding starting as early as Tuesday.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
