WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 ...ELEVATED TO CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS TODAY...  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Dry and windy conditions are expected across the plains this afternoon and early evening, with a chance of showers in the mountains. Wind gusts 30 to 45 mph are expected over much of the region this afternoon. An isolated high based shower or thunderstorm could produce a brief outflow wind gust to 60 mph further east near the Kansas and Nebraska border, but confidence in this outcome is low.  Elevated to critical fire weather conditions are expected to impact the southern Front Range Foothills, Palmer Divide and plains.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday  The next weather system arrives Friday. Snow is likely in the mountains, with rain on the plains possibly turning to a little wet snow Friday night. Accumulations will generally be light with lots of melting, although heavier snow is possible over the higher mountains and eastern slopes of the Front Range Friday afternoon and evening. Temperatures will be much cooler Friday and Saturday. Drier and warmer weather will return for Sunday and the early part of next week.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
