This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Today will be dry, warm, and breezy with highs near or above records for the date. Wind gusts of 20 to 30 mph will become common this afternoon resulting in elevated fire weather conditions especially on the plains south of Interstate 70. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday Dry and windy conditions are expected across the plains on Thursday, with a chance of showers in the mountains in the afternoon. Although temperatures will not be as warm on Thursday, they will remain well above normal with gusty winds to 45 mph possible across the plains. This will result in another period of elevated to critical fire weather conditions to the southern Front Range Foothills, Palmer Divide and plains. The next system arrives Friday which may bring increasing chances of precipitation to the region along with much cooler temperatures through Saturday.
