Washington County Hazardous Weather Outlook

This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight

Fire danger will be elevated this afternoon with gusty westerly
winds across the mountains and locations near the Wyoming and
Nebraska borders. Gusts around 35 mph can be expected in those
areas, but they will be decreasing late in the afternoon. Dry
conditions are expected through tonight with a dry and stable
airmass in place.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Wednesday through Monday

Dry conditions will prevail through Thursday. Winds are expected
to increase Thursday, ahead of an approaching upper trough. The
combination of warm temperatures and increasing winds will
increase fire danger conditions at some locations. The next
chance for precipitation will be Friday evening and through the
weekend when there is a slight chance of showers and
thunderstorms, mainly over the higher terrain.

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
