This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western South
Dakota and northeastern Wyoming.
.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight
Bitter wind chills will persist across areas north and east of the
Black Hills through late morning. Wind chill values of 15 below to
25 below can be expected, with values as low as 30 below zero
over far northwest South Dakota where a wind chill advisory is in
effect through the morning. Conditions will improve some by this
afternoon, but wind chill values are expected to drop back down to
10 below to 25 below zero tonight into early Thursday across far
eastern portions of the area, from Bison and Faith to Philip and
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Thursday through Tuesday
A clipper system will bring a chance for snow and gusty winds
Friday into Friday night. Any accumulations look to be scattered
and light at this point. Northwest winds could gust to over 50
mph across much of the area, especially the northwest and west
central South Dakota plains.
