This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northwestern
South Dakota…southwestern South Dakota…the Black Hills of
South Dakota…northeast Wyoming…and the Black Hills of
.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight
Strong winds will develop late this morning and continue through
early evening. Occasional wind gusts of 45-55 mph are expected,
with the strongest gusts over the northwestern South Dakota
plains. These winds, coupled with low relative humidity values,
will contribute to very high fire danger across northwestern South
Dakota this afternoon.
Snow showers will move into the area tonight. Light accumulations
are possible, but any accumulations should remain under an inch.
Little to no impacts are anticipated.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Tuesday through Sunday
Occasional chances for snow showers will continue through the
week. Minor additional accumulations will be possible.
