This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for western South Dakota and
northeastern Wyoming.
.DAY ONE…This Afternoon and Tonight
Rain and snow showers are expected across the area beginning late
tonight. Some freezing precipitation will be possible across the
South Dakota plains after midnight. However, widespread hazardous
weather is not anticipated.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Wednesday through Monday
Rain and snow showers will continue on Wednesday, particularly
before noon. Minor snow accumulations of an inch or two will be
possible over the northern Black Hills, with up to a dusting
expected elsewhere. Widespread hazardous weather is not
anticipated at this time.
Light freezing rain will also be possible over portions of the
central South Dakota plains on Wednesday morning. This could lead
to a light glaze of ice on some surfaces, but widespread
hazardous weather is not expected.
