Day 1 Severe Weather Outlook

Valid 190100Z – 191200Z

A strong thunderstorm wind gust or two cannot be ruled out along the
coast of the central Florida Panhandle this evening, but the overall
threat is expected to remain very marginal.

…the central Florida Panhandle coastal area…

A band of pre-frontal convection continues to move eastward through
the northeastern Gulf and is just offshore of the coast of the
central FL Panhandle. A few bowing segments and weak embedded
mesovortices/comma head structures continue to be observed offshore.
A warm front is located just offshore and may reach the coast early
this evening. Storms will probably weaken as they move inland where
a more stable regime resides north of the warm front. A strong wind
gust or two cannot be ruled out along the coast as this activity
moves onshore, but the threat appears too marginal to introduce any
severe probabilities.
