…THERE IS A MARGINAL RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS PARTS OF
Isolated damaging winds and a brief tornado remain possible across
parts of the Southeast tonight.
Surface front continues to sag southeast across GA/FL Panhandle as
heights fall in advance of approaching upper trough. Convection has
gradually weakened over the last hour or so, as depicted by fewer
lightning flashes, but remains primarily focused along the frontal
zone. No appreciable changes have been made to the 20z outlook,
other than to lower severe probs in the wake of the wind shift. A
small shift east in severe probs across the FL Panhandle is to
account for late night convection that may approach the coast toward
sunrise. Otherwise, locally damaging winds are the primary threat
with strongest frontal convection.
