Day 1 Severe Weather Outlook

Valid 160100Z – 161200Z

Severe thunderstorms are not anticipated through tonight.

Water-vapor imagery this evening shows a mid-level shortwave trough
moving east across the Four Corners and this feature will move into
the eastern NM/TX Panhandle/southeast CO vicinity by early Monday
morning. Downstream of this disturbance, a corridor of warm/moist
advection is forecast to remain tonight across the lower MS Valley
northeast into KY. Isolated showers are forecast to gradually
increase in coverage. With elevated instability forecast to slowly
increase, isolated thunderstorms will become possible later tonight
within the warm air advection zone.
