An upper trough will dig into CA today, with a plume of midlevel
moisture extending across much of the southwest states. Isolated
lightning strikes will be possible from southern CA eastward into
the four-corners region through tonight, with a low risk of hail in
the stronger cells over parts of southern NV and northern AZ. No
severe storms are expected.

Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms may also affect parts
of eastern NC tonight, but activity is forecast to remain
sub-severe.
