Sharp cold front will surge across the southeastern US later today
as dominant surface anticyclone settles into the Mid-South region by
13/00z. While frontal convergence will likely encourage shallow/weak
convection, the probability for updrafts attaining levels necessary
for generating lightning appears low. Pre-frontal buoyancy should
remain too meager for robust updrafts and thunder probabilities will
remain less than 10%.
