Severe thunderstorms are not expected across the U.S. mainland
today.

A cold front will continue to move south-southeastward across the
Florida Peninsula today, although convergence in vicinity of the
front will tend to weaken during the day. Some additional showers
and thunderstorms may develop near the front within a moist
environment, but weak mid-level lapse rates and the possibility of a
residual mid-level inversion should limit overall updraft intensity.
Severe thunderstorms are not expected.
