Day 1 Severe Weather Outlook

Valid 032000Z – 041200Z

Severe thunderstorms are not expected today or tonight.

The ongoing outlook largely reflects current expectations, with a
few lightning strikes still possible over — and just off — the
Florida Peninsula. However, the area of thunder that included the
Rio Grande Valley in West Texas is being removed at this time, as
earlier/isolated storms over Northern Mexico, west of El Paso, have
diminished. Thunderstorm activity for the remainder of the period
should remain on the Mexican side of the river.

.PREV DISCUSSION… /ISSUED 1027 AM CST Sun Nov 03 2019/

Dry and stable conditions are expected to preclude thunderstorm
activity over the bulk of the CONUS today. However, a few small
areas will have a low-end risk of a few lightning strikes later
today. The areas of highest potential will be over south FL and the
Rio Grande valley of southwest TX where isolated afternoon/evening
thunderstorms are possible. Other areas of very low but non-zero
thunder chances include lower MI, western NY, and southern CA.
