Day 1 Severe Weather Outlook

Valid 021200Z – 031200Z

…NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST…

…SUMMARY…
Isolated thunderstorms will be possible today across parts of the
central and southern Florida Peninsula. Severe thunderstorms are not
expected.

…FL Peninsula…

Broad upper trough will dominate the eastern US through the upcoming
day1 period. As a result, the primary zone of low-level confluence
will remain shunted to lower latitudes, arcing from off the NC Coast
– southern tip of FL. While convergence is not forecast to be
particularly strong along the front, diurnal heating and sea breeze
interactions are once again expected to aid isolated convection,
similar to Friday. The strongest updrafts may produce a bit of
lightning.
