No severe thunderstorms are expected today in the contiguous U.S.

The current outlook continues to accurately reflect convective
expectations the remainder of the period; aside form the southern
half of the Florida Peninsula, inland thunder over the CONUS is not
expected, through Saturday morning.

A broad/cold upper trough is present today over the contiguous
United States, with relatively dry, cool, and stable conditions in
most areas. One exception is over central and south FL, where a
moist and marginally unstable air mass remains. A few thunderstorms
may occur in this area later today, but no severe storms are
