Day 1 Severe Weather Outlook

Valid 130100Z – 131200Z

…NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST…

…SUMMARY…
Severe thunderstorms are not expected through tonight.

…Synopsis…
A deep closed low situated over the Upper Midwest will move little
through Sunday morning. Relatively cool/dry air is located over
much of the Lower 48 as surface high pressure encompasses a large
part of the eastern states extending into the northwest Gulf Coast,
leading to quiescent conditions over most of the CONUS. Convective
activity tonight will be confined to two areas. Isolated
thunderstorms will remain possible tonight over the FL Keys. A few
showers and thunderstorms are possible late tonight in the vicinity
of a frontal zone from parts of eastern AL northeastward into
northern GA and upstate SC as weak mid-level ascent overspreads the
region late.
